I would like to give you a brief résumé of my professional qualifications.
I was an Honor Society graduate of the New England College of Optometry in 1980 after rotations at the Walter Reed and Rutland Hospital eye clinics and at the Boston Contact Lens Clinic. At graduation I was honored with the college's "Award for Excellence in Contact Lens Practice."
Upon moving to Northern Virginia, I gained experience as an associate at several of the area's most respected private optometric practices, continuing to learn by working with the pros part-time for several years after opening my own practice in 1981. I have participated in a number of clinical studies involving contact lenses, and have published articles in several professional journals. Professional education has to be ongoing and keeping on top of a field that is changing as rapidly as eyecare requires a commitment that I have embraced wholeheartedly. Continuing Education is a cornerstone of our practice.
I attend many hours of classroom and hands-on training each year and
use professional journals and home study to ensure that I'll have the most
accurate answers to your concerns. I am a member of the American
Optometric Association, the Virginia Optometric Association, the Southern
Council of Optometry, and the Northern Virginia Optometric Society.
